Dr. Kirk Matheson, BSc, DDS
Dr. Kirk Matheson graduated from the University of Alberta in 1975 and has been in private practice in Victoria for over 40 years. His low key, down to earth approach to dentistry has earned him the loyalty of many long-term patients. Outside of dentistry, Kirk has many interests and hobbies including: biking, travel, metalwork and archery.
Dr. Keely Matheson
Keely has been a member of the Bowker Creek team from an early age, accompanying "Dr. M" senior during emergency appointments. She completed her Bachelor of Integrated Sciences at the University of British Columbia in the areas of microbiology and physiology and earned her dental degree from Boston University in "Bwaston" Massachusetts. Outside of the office Keely is an avid outdoors-woman; hiking, biking, and running in her spare time. She also loves to travel and see the world. She feels incredibly honoured and privileged to work alongside her dad and the amazing staff at Bowker Creek to continue cultivating a practice where patients are treated as part of the family.
Sandra 'Sam'
Sam is a Victoria native and has been at Bowker Creek Dental since 1991. She completed the Registered Dental Hygienist program at Vancouver Community College. Sam worked in special needs services for 10 years prior to becoming a dental hygienist. She has built many long term relationships with the patients at Bowker Creek Dental and takes joy in hearing about their lives. Sam and her husband have two sons that are avid baseball players. Sam spends most of her spare time supporting them in their pursuits.
Patricia
Patricia has been a Certified Dental Assistant at Bowker Creek Dental since 2006. She has a caring personality that shines through in her outstanding patient care. She is an outgoing, personable individual who enjoys getting to know all of her patients. Patricia is an avid gardener, animal lover and cook. She is very artistic and was the the mastermind behind the wonderful caricatures on our website.
Lindsy
Lindsy has been a part of the Bowker Creek Dental team since 2002 as the Certified Dental Assistant to Dr. Matheson. She prides herself in being very close with her patients, and caring for them as they are in her words, her "extended family." Lindsy finds it most enjoyable working with our dental team for the many great laughs, the teamwork aspect, and loves the energy that our group at Bowker Creek Dental exudes. Outside the office, some of Lindsy's favorite activities include quality time with her son Hunter, daughter Sailor and husband Kelly, working on their new house, outings with friends, and visits with her much loved brother Todd and his family in Delta, BC.
Tami
Tami returned to Bowker Creek Dental in 2011 after receiving her Dental Hygiene Diploma from Vancouver Island University in 2010; however, she had been in the dental field as a Certified Dental Assistant since 1994. Tami’s loves the camaraderie with fellow staff members as well as the wonderful relationships she develops with her patients. Tami feels privileged to call our office a second home where our patients receive excellent treatment in a respectful, caring and friendly environment.
Rhonda
Rhonda has been at Bowker Creek's front desk for over 17 years. She enjoys travelling and devours books in her spare time. She is an avid chef and specializes in gourmet meals and soups. Rhonda is always happy to answer patient questions and enjoys making patients feel welcome at the practice.
Heather
Heather has been working in the dental field for over 30 years as a dental assistant and receptionist. Heather has been at Bowker Creek Dental since 2007 and is always eager to aid patients in any questions they may have. She enjoys playing the piano and flute. Her hobbies include reading, knitting and driving her children to activities.
Tania
Tania has been with Bowker Creek Dental since May of 2008. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Camosun College in 2001. Prior to that Tania was employed as a Certified Dental Assistant and lived in Nelson, BC. She likes to be active and spends most of her time enjoying water sports. When not working, Tania's three other passions are traveling, gardening and photography.
